Lorna and I both had omelettes this morning in what was a very quiet restaurant. Tuesday is one of the change over days, and it certainly made it easier to get around. The weather was overcast and windy which meant I initially went back to the room for an hour, not sure as to what to do with myself. I then tried sitting at the pool bar but it was too cold, so decided to get ready and walk into town to find the market. This was a mistake. As a few minutes after setting off then sun came out and I was over dressed in my t shirt shorts and boat shoes. My mood wasn’t helped by once again aimlessly wandering round as I followed google maps that took me round the headland to the coast. Definitely no market here. I tried to retrace my route from the other day to no avail and ended up hot tired and grumpy back at the top pool bar. Charlotte and Lorna arrived shortly, with a change of top for me that helped. Now I was cooler but having not put sun screen on my shoulders I was feeling the heat. Still we pressed on to explore the market. Which on the whole I was not impressed with. A few bespoke stalls offer some genuine bargains, but on the whole it’s an organised place to buy knock off items. I guess the market serves its purpose as you don’t get accosted on the beach by gentlemen offering up their wares. On the way back we wandered down the shopping street near O’Connors we were at earlier this week. Unluckly for Becky who was on standby by her phone the handbag store was shut for its siesta. With her help I did manage to purchase a hat. I hope you all like the hat, as shopping with three women is quite tough. Especially when one of them is in another country. We didn’t opt for my mothers choice in hats. I feel people may have mistaken me for a wanna be cowboy. Perhaps I should have got it for when I next go line dancing? I’ve never been line dancing so I digress. Charlotte got some goggles that my phone has autocorrected twice to Google’s. Don’t think google are in the swimming market but I could be wrong. Back home I got pool ready and headed back to the top pool. The view I had is the picture for this blog. Can’t complain at all with a view like that. It was very windy which made it quite difficult to judge how hot it was. Around 17:00 the bar here started to shut down so we all relocated to the main pool area. I dipped my feet in the water while Charlotte got in. There were a couple of kids charging round, ignoring the no diving rule. Pesky kids. Think I’m getting old. Lorna and I had time for another sunset drink by the marina, before dinner. We had a good spot at dinner, right next to the drink dispensers! The meal was the best so far. Charlotte and I got the gravy before it ran out. Poor Lorna.
Lorna decided to call it a night here, I was also keen to hit the hay. However Charlotte was yet to have her first drink of the day and wanted to see the show. The Tina Turner tribute act was brilliant and I’m glad I went. I repeatedly stopped Becky from going to bed by sending her videos of the performance. I wonder when they will stop calling them videos? Seems very outdated doesn’t it. Charlotte and I stayed up chatting till midnight once the show had finished.
