We awoke to the news that Thomas Cook had finally gone into administration. After catching up on the news and what it might mean for us, & a phone call to Becky, Lorna and I had breakfast. A few coffees including a double espresso and my sangria headache was cleared up.
With Charlotte still in bed, I grabbed some loungers looking out over the promenade until she joined us. This morning was simply about doing as little as possible and enjoying the sun with a few beers.
While Charlotte had lunch, Lorna and I walked across to the U spa. For €12 on a Wednesday women can use the facility all day. We shall give it some thought as there doesn’t appear to be many spots in the shade if you start to get hot. Or views of the ocean as your below ground level. They do have 3 salt water pools all at different temperatures and a gym. To get back to the hotel we walked in the sea along the beach and saw plenty of fish on our way. The water was warm and we shall definitely be going back.
I popped up to one of the other pool bars for a drink to pass sometime. I thought this would offer a good view of the ocean but from beside the pool you can’t actually see it as you are slightly lower down. I popped in the pool too cool off, before heading down to the main pool area. I linked up with Charlotte. We grabbed loungers overlooking the beach and sea as the beach slowly emptied for the day. Charlotte was the last person in our pool, so we thought it best to get a quick couple of games of table hockey in. Needless to say I won, Charlotte blames the curved table. I have promised her a rematch on the flat table tomorrow.
Before dinner Lorna and I went for a drink on the promenade. This is a great spot to watch the sun come down by the Marina. It’s like a mini Puerto Banus. After 18:00 drinks here are included in the all inclusive deal, we shall definitely be going back.
We sat outside for another eclectic meal. Tonight I tried the red wine with my cheese and crackers and was suitably impressed.
Tonight’s evening entertainment was acrobatics. The three entertainers all demonstrated impressive core strength throughout their acts. Afterwards Charlotte went and joined in a dance in front of the stage, before one final drink on the promenade.
