Sunshine, sea, & sand from the get go today. Straight out of bed we went for a run up & down the beach.
Waihi Beach is a 9km stretch of white sand & it was hot enough to have a wade into the sea, then dry off on the beach. There were a few people out surfing, in wet suits, wimps!
Continuing the exercise I went to the gym, before we both headed off to do the costal walk we tried to do yesterday. This hour & half round trip took us to Orokawa Bay. This idilic beach slopped steeply into the sea & only had three people on when we arrived.
After enjoying the sun we grabbed a takeout & had lunch on our balcony overlooking the sea.
We took or short drive to see the small settlements in the vicinity. There was nothing of note so we went back for a spa & sauna.
Dinner worked itself out after driving around looking at different places, we eventually went back to The Porch. Most of the other locations seemed to be cross between social clubs & bookies. The theme of the trip continued with the fish of the day for me & meat for Alan.
We retired with a couple of beers & a film.
