The plan for today was very little. We walked around the Marina at Picton before checking in for our Ferry to Wellington. Having sat in the car for almost an hour we eventually boarded the boat, & headed for the food court. This was located at the front of the boat that gave us lovely views of the sounds as we headed out of the harbour. After a while we moved into the more comfortable bar area to watch some television.
Our accommodation was up a pedestrian street that caught us by surprise. It was quite the effort getting the bags up.
We walked into Wellington. However having not brought any maps we made a 30min walk into well over an hour. All good exercise, since we quickly found a bar offering happy hour prices on beer.
Dinner was at a Mexican restaurant which had plenty of flavour. A jug of sangria with dinner set us up for our much shorter walk home.
