Sunshine, sea, & sand from the get go today. Straight out of bed we went for a run up & down the beach. Waihi Beach is a 9km stretch of white sand & it was hot enough to have a wade into the sea, then dry off on the beach. There were a few people out surfing, in wet suits, wimps! There was a short drive up to Waihi Beach which saw scattered showed that thankfully had cleared up by the time we arrived. We grabbed lunch in the Porch bar which benefitted from great sunlight. The room at the holiday park was very sizeable, & we both had our own bedroom. With the sun shining we attempted a coastal walk, but we ended up lost on a track that was clearly the wrong one.
