Greg and Kerrie's travels
Thursday 19th May 2011 – we checked into our hotel; a rather drab but cheap Travelodge at Heston westbound, which is about 4 mile/7 km from Heathrow airport where we were to pick up our friend Chris PEARSON in the morning.
Because we had time to spare we grabbed a taxi which took us to the nearest tube station and we caught a train into London to fill in the afternoon. Having visited London before and seen the sights, we decided to just wander around and take some happy snaps.
Of course our wanderings had to include a visit to "Mecca" aka Harrods.
Harrods is under going a massive face lift now that it has changed hands so many of the display rooms were boarded up. Never mind, Kerrie still enjoyed herself.
We took in most of the tourist spots that you can get to on foot and then used the tube to reach a few others when we were b*****ed.
After about 4-5 hours hoofing it
and catching the tube between several stations, we decided to find a pub, have a cold beer and then eat some good English pub food.
So that is what we did before finding our way back to the hotel and crashing for the night..

Chris I have missed some recent blogs as I have been too busy but it's great to see that you are in the UK and enjoying London. Weather looks good!
