Greg and Kerrie's travels
Thu 26.05.2011 - we headed out of Birmingham and made our way westward into Wales to ride across the beautiful Welsh countryside. We set Tom the job of navigating us to the coast to the university town of Aberstywyth.
The weather forecaste before we set off was for clear skies. It ****** down!
Our plans for a scenic ride taking in the Welsh scenery were ruined - b*****! What turned out to be a promising day on the bike ended with our tales between our legs making a bee line for our digs.
On arrival we parked our bikes out the back of the hotel and went straight to a laundromat so that we had clean clothes for the next few days. Chris went exploring and later we met up and walked the town which seemed very beautiful except the wind was a howling gale which made it way too cold to enjoy any views.
Our fleece jackets were next to useless in keeping out the wind and we froze our what its names off!.
There was one other thing we struggled with in Wales. Guess what?
After a good meal we headed back to our hotel rooms and hunkered down for the night watching Welsh soaps on TV.
