Heading south from Blackpool we decided to return to London via Llandudno, Wales. This is a beautiful seaside town that we first visited in 1982. Travelling north east again we stopped for breakfast at Monmouth for no other reason than we were hungry. As with so many towns in the UK, Monmouth has its connections with history - it is the birthplace of King Henry V. We are in Wales to watch a couple of games of the Rugby World Cup. We have tickets to see the Wallabies play Fiji but we will also watch Wales play Uruguay. The tickets were purchased online last July when they were first released in the ballot. We also booked our accommodation 12 months ago. We travelled back to London after swapping cars in Ipswich. We are now driving a bright, red Astra for the remainder of our holiday. The return to London was for one reason only - to drop Chris at Heathrow for his departure to Canada for a month before he returns home in late October.
