The night bus was horrible to say the least it took about an hour and a half picking us up and I had bought some street food that was gross so we were starving after the massive hike from a couple of hours ago. When the bus eventually did arrive people were sat all in the aisles and for some reason all night EVERYONE was throwing up into tiny little carrier bags not pleasant for a 10 hours journey. When we arrived back at Yangon again very early all we wanted to do was sleep and luckily last time we were here we saw everything so we didnt have anything to tick off today. We had a free transfer into actual yangon included in our ticket so we piled into a little pick up truck and hoped that we would be able to recognise somewhere in the city luckily they dropped us off right outside the temple that was also a giant round-about; our first stop with the taxi driver from before. Everyone seemed really concerned just dropping us off with no where to go but luckily I had seen a street with some hostels close by. There was only one left with a room - as Myanmar in general has too little hotels for the sudden popularity it has- and therefore the one with the room was horrible. It was suffocatingly humid and had practically cardboard built around to separate the different rooms and it had the second biggest spider from our trip in the bathroom. (the first being in the bathroom in siem reap) they also charged us for a whole night even though we must've only slept there for about 4 hours and he overcharged us by giving us a terrible exchange rate! After this we ate lunch which we decided to go try down some main road instead of a little place right by the hostel which was a mistake. The only place we found wasn't very nice and I didnt want to be in there so after ordering some pop, they have like 6 different ones that all taste really good, I dont even remember seeing coke or sprite whilst there we went back to the place right beside our hostel. it turned out to be a local pub , something that is obviously popular with men here since british times i'm assuming. we actually got decent cheap food which we needed as we were running out of burmese cash (kyats) big style and with no atms it was not really an option to be stranded.
After this we decided to double check our flight times at the only internet cafe we had seen whilst in Burma and it was super full. There was even a monk sat in there checking emails which is really strange to see. luckily it was super cheap internt and for 15 mins it must've cost less than 50p which to say it was the only one we'd seen in the whole country they could've charged alot more! after this we headed to the airport and on the way tried to take sly pics of the men in their sarong style skirts and buddhist nuns as this was the only country we had seen them in but there werent any to find! Back in bangkok we headed straight to the suit place for a final fitting even though it was really late. And for some reason it was shut even though we had arranged to go there before we had left. We then wandered to a tourist night market to buy some things from Thailand as we had never got a chance. The next day we headed to the suit place again and luckily everything was finished and fitted well. we popped into macdonalds again as it was just down the road from the suit place and he needed two hours to completely finish. Then we headed to the airport for a horrible 14 hour flight home with no entertainment and horrible air hostesses we would never fly with Vietnam airways again!
