Arrived in Cairns Monday night about 8pm. Got the shuttle to my hostel, Caravella which is brill. Really friendly people, rooms are comfy and got all amenities plus its close to town wahoo. Got up early yesterday and went for a walk around Cairns before sunbathing by the lagoon. Went for a swim when it got too hot which was lush. 31 degrees here yay. Topping up my tan nicely. Last night I met a group of really nice people who I went for dinner with at the Woolshed - rump steak for 4 pounds! Afterwards we got changed and went out in the evening for a few drinks back at the Woolshed because it was Hawaiian night. Spent most of the night with Jack, 21 year old from Western Super-Mere. He has a girlfriend at home and was really down and missing her so we both ended up getting really drunk hehe. Had a really good night dancing on tables and watching goldfish racing - don't ask hehe. Got up early today and booked my Cape Tribulation trip which I go on tomorrow. Hopefully that will be really good and I will meet some more people. I also booked an open ended ticket for my Fraser Island and WhitSundays trips. So excited about those. I am also going to do a day trip out to the Barrier Reef after my Cape Tribulation tour. Just chilling out at the hostel today with Kim and Jack. Might go up to Palm Cove beach but not sure yet.
