After such a huge day spent at Uluru we had a lovely sleep in and a lazy cooked breakie. We strolled over to the town square for some boomerang and spear throwing, again run by the Muswellbrook boys. They were fantastic and our boys had a ball. We had a lazy arvo, watching the test footy and had a lamb roast for tea.
Today we did a 5km hike through "valley of the winds" gorge, one of many throughout Kata Tjuta (The Olgas). After seeing them from a distance for a few days they too were spectacular up close, so huge! Once we were up in the gorge between the rocks, we felt quite small and insignificant indeed! Again, Lachie the legend walked all but 20 metres of quite a tough hike, up hill and down dale and very rocky! It was definitely one of our toughest yet. He is truly amazing! Off to Kings Canyon tomorrow for some more spectacular scenery and hiking.
