Left Kakadu and drove on to Shady Camp for the night. It wasn't my favourite spot I have to admit.... A haven for crocs, snakes and mozzies! The kids were black within 5 minutes but had fun finding 'treasure' (rubbish) all around the camp. We had to hibernate once evening came or else we would have been carried away by the giant mozzies! Ben got up early the next morning for a sunrise fish and enjoyed catching 4 Barra! Unfortunately they were just undersize so no fish for tea. We went exploring, driving out a 30km bush track to the coast! It was so strange to see the northern sea! We stayed the night at Mary River wilderness resort, a lovey, shady, grassy spot for the night. A swim in the pool was the perfect way to end a day of driving.
