We arrived in Streaky Bay and loved it at first sight, the little town was neat and pretty and the big bay was beautiful. We were very happy with our site, right on the bay, next to the park. We left Esperance, travelling through kilometres of more fields of green and gold where it then changed to woodlands and wildflowers as we got closer to Norseman. We stopped for lunch at the park. Norseman wasn't a particularly pretty town but the park was nice. We left Norseman on the Eyre highway to travel across to the other side of the country! Wow! What an amazing and unique place Coober Pedy is! On arrival it's like entering another planet! There are piles of dirt (mullock heaps) EVERYWHERE surrounding the town, strange looking trucks designed especially for Coober Pedy miners, doors going into the front of hills and chimneys coming out the top of them! Sunday saw an end to the dreadful wind, thank gosh, so after another dip in the spa and a lazy pack up we hit the road again.
