Hi,Still not much to tell. Bowen has become much more bearable this week. As I predicted, work has gone to the other extreme and there is now not so much of it, but I am definitely not complaining. After my scheduled day off on Monday (which was a 15hr shift, so I was very glad I missed it), everybody had Tuesday and Wednesday off because there was nothing to pick. Not much to report this week, I ended up starting before Friday so didn't have much time to explore Bowen. Instead I have worked 7 night shifts. They broke me in gently with a nice 13hr shift squeezing tomatoes! There are 3 sections; rubbish, grading and packing. I was on rubbish so had to throw out ripe or diseased tomatoes, very tedious! We get a 10min break every 3hrs and 30mins after 6hrs, so its a lot of standing up, but hopefully after a few more shifts the...

I arrived in Bowen today and have managed to get a job starting next Friday. We will be packing tomatoes for up to 12hrs depending on the number of tomatoes that have been picked. When the factory is in full swing it runs 24hrs a day so we will be rotating between day and night shifts!
