I have spent the last couple of days in Noosa. It's a lovely place, the weather still isn't great, very cloudy but still warm and mostly dry. It's the school holidays at the moment and I thought it was only us crazy Brits that went to the beach when it's not even sunny, but the beaches are packed with ozzies sunbathing in the clouds. We were supposed to stop on the way for a walk to see the glass house mountains but it was pouring it down so we could barely see them. Luckily when we got to Noosa the sun came out briefly and we went for a lovely walk in the national park along the coastline and saw a turtle.
Yesterday we tried phoning round and asking about work but were told we have to phone the day before because they won't know any more in advance. I'm not overly happy that we can't plan ahead, we are just having to risk it and go past Bundaberg and hope when we get to Bowen there is some work going, at least soon after we get there! We spent the rest of yesterday wandering around the town and along the river. Noosa is a lovely place and I imagine even more lovely in the sunshine!
We are off to Rainbow beach today, and from here we are going to Fraser island for a selfdrive 4wd tour and camping, so fingers crossed it doesn't rain! Xxx

Emma I saw the birds and thought of you!
Philip & Sheila Hi Emma Sorry for not responding to your Blog's but work seems to get in the way. Any how its seems that you are enjoying your self on this road trip of Oz, shame about the weather at least its warm, we have had the first sign of Autum with a cold chill & sun, roll out the jumpers. Good luck on the quest for work hope you locate some fruit picking soon. Love P&S
Emma Thanks Philip and Sheila, nice to hear from you. I hope you are both ok, love Emma xxx
Michael M George Hope all is still going well in and around Noosa, that you enjoyed your tour and camping on Fraser Island and that it isn't raining. Not much to report here except that Grandad's sister Sylvia has died unexpectedly and we are going to her funeral on Monday which is sad. Otherwise we are settling into a 'normal' lifestyle after a hectic month or so. Glood luck with the job hunting in Bowen. Love Nan and Gdad xx :)
