re: Ezulwini, SwazilandEmma I'm glad you all had a nice time in Spain and managed to get a bit of sunshine. If you could order some for England for my return I would be very grateful! Congratulations Philip and Sheila on your wedding anniversary! and I look forward to seeing you all soon. I fly to Cape Town tomorrow and this time next week I will be home!
re: Ezulwini, SwazilandNan & Gdad We are just home from our week in Lloret del Mar on the Costa Brava in Spain with Val and Frank. It was a good week though very tiring as we travelled through the night on the coach to get there and back - we're getting a bit old for this! The weather was mostly good and we visited some lovely places. Philip and Sheila picked us up on our return and we took them out to dinner as a thank you (and because we were very hungry) and because it is their Silver Wedding anniversary on Tuesday. It was great to see your latest blog, above, when we got home - another fascinating one. We are now ready for bed and hope you have a wonderful time in Cape Town and, as always, a safe journey. Much love from Nan & Gdadxxx
re: Ezulwini, SwazilandPhilip George Hi Emma Sorry for not responding to your blogs lately but both Sheila & I have been fascinated by your accounts; here we are in the final throws of comic relief so your experiences make them quiet surreal. Still keep up the good works; we can’t wait to hear of your exploits on your return? Love P&S
re: Ezulwini, SwazilandFrank &Val Hi Em,, As Mo says we are over in Spain with ur Nan and Gdad, eventful trip but ended up in the sun (for 2 days)only and now abit cloudy. Seen a bit of local area and off to Barcelona tomorrow(thurs). Had to watch the Reds getting pasted by Barca in local pub with Barca supporters but good atmosphere. Back home on sat. ur trip again sounds wonderful, less the jellyfish. Have more fun back at school. luv V&F xx
re: Tofo, MozambiqueCatherine At last you got to ride and canter, guess what is't raining here, had 250ml plus here in 14 hrs on Monday, the plus is cause the rain gauge overflowed again, the road is cut north, but no rain today and not as hot, roll on the dry season. I am not so sure about rough seas and jelly fish! not long now and you will be back to the sunny u.k, enjoy the teaching.
re: Tofo, MozambiqueMo Hi Em just a quick update to say Val Frank Mike and Judy are all in Spain this week had their own little road trip bus thru UK and boat over to Europe and then bus down to Spain over 20 hrs and supposedly slept on the bus with blankets :-)) so they have in search of sunshine this week - you have a great week too and happy teaching Mo xxx
re: Tofo, MozambiqueMo Hi Em another great blog and lots going on and all those experiences to add to your travel brain. Sorry if you end up with two logs from me I just typed loads and the add coomemt froze!! So you may read this twice (hehe) anyway work busy this week and we have the mayor's ball friday eve and Serco are buying the tickets so a good excuse to wear my posh frock and heels :-) have a great week teaching and hugs to the children and don't let the local teachers leave you with 100 kids to entertain again - take care Mo xxx
re: Tofo, Mozambiquemummy mallett Hi Emz, it was lovely to talk to you again on Sunday. Glad you had such a fab time in Mozambique and that you got your sunset ride that you wanted. We have had beautiful weather here today but it was not particularly warm- a false spring day! David lost his semi- final rugby match and kim had 2 stops sj but otherwise had a gud time on Oz! Dad hopes to spread some fertiliser this week so spring must be near.... Enjoy your teaching.xxxxxxxx
re: Tofo, MozambiqueEmma Mo, I can't fit them all in one room, there are 100 kids, only about 40 desks and the room isnt much bigger than our living room! Catherine, the rainy season is kinder to me here, it only ever seems to rain in the evening! Have had lots of thunder storms, but its not humid which is good! I'm glad Tag is coping better with the storms now, I can imagine just how happy they were sleeping on the matress with you! How is Townsville looking now? Just lots of fallen trees? Think I agree with you about the cyclone/earthquake though, its so tragic that so many people have died, thank god it the cyclone wasn't as bad as that as well!
re: Ezulwini, SwazilandCatheirne HI Emma, great Photos of Kruger, the ziplining looks like fun, not so sure about eating wormy things but you have tried everything. Sounds like teaching is a bit hectic...... I am sure Cape Town will be great, hope you finally get your beach ride, it is still raining here, sunny and hot at times as well, but still wet, less thunder storms which makes Tag happy but I am giving her a homeopathic liquid called Thuderpetices and she is much calmer now during storms I gave both dogs some during the cyclone and they slept much more than we did, they thought it was great sleeping in the hall with us on mattresses! Not much new here Graeme is working pick up trees with the truck they have about 70 crews working in Townsville alone picking up fallen trees, but I would still rather have a cyclone than an earth quake.
re: Ezulwini, SwazilandMo Hi Em sounds like your having a fab time teaching maps rewards and two classes to teach at the sane time !! Suggest put all students in one room so you can teach them at the same time - working two rooms sounds hilarious!! Glad you found time for zipwiring and Mozambique next have fun keep blogging Moxx ps thanks for postcard love it xx
