Day 301 (Wednesday 1st October 08)

Went of a walk first thing along the river and then through the town. Had some breakfast and read our books for a while. Then made our way onto Port Macquarie. Had a look around the town and then popped to the tourist information. Decided to go to Timbertown so drove out to Wachuope where Timbertown is located. Nice little place, a good bit of fun going on the steam train, watching the bullock show and seeing all the other old parts of the town. Did some wine tasting by accident, of course, and ended up buying a bottle. Made some lunch in the car park and drove back to Port Macquarie. It was about 2:30pm and had heard that there was a tour and feeding at the Koala Hospital at 3pm so found that. Parked up just in time and then saw a sign saying that they had recently been having problems with break ins into people's cars in broad daylight. Didn't have time to move Hoki Poki so just hoped for the best! The tour was interesting, nice to learn some more about the Koalas and how they are trying to help them. Cute to see them being fed as well. We were also lucky enough to see one of them with a joey. Went off to find some internet and then later down by the beach to make something to eat. As Em was making some sandwiches a woman came up to her and asked why we had pokemon on the side of our van. Em explained it was rented and was just what Wicked chose to put on the side of it. The woman then said we must feel like 2 year olds driving around in it. Told her we love Pokemon! He he he.
