Day 314 (Tuesday 14th October 08)

A big storm in the night, hoped the tree above us wouldn't fall down! Still raining in the morning so headed down to Moruya. Only had a quick look around before going further down the coast ending up in Narooma. Stopped in at the tourist information and found out there was free internet at the library so went over to the library to make use of it! Stayed until they wanted the computers for other people and parked up for the afteroon. Did some study and played cards as still a very wet day. Later on managed to cook in the dry luckily!

Day 315 (Wednesday 15th October 08)

Woke up to a brighter day. Went up to the lookout to see if we could see some whales as apparently you can quite often spot them. Had a walk around and then made ourselves a hot drink as it was still a very cold morning. Back to stand at the lookout and watch out for whales. A local came along with his dog and stopped for a chat. While we were chatting we saw a whale watching tour boat go out so he said to watch where they go and soon we would spot a whale. Sure enough after only about 5 minutes we were watching 3 humpback whales making their way down the coast. Spent a couple of hours watching and then they started to disappear round the headland. Drove down to Surf Beach so we could try and see them again. They came really close into the beach which was amazing. Had something to eat and went for a look around Narooma as it was a lot nicer day. Back to Surf Beach for a walk and then freezing cold shower! Cooked up parked up in the tourist information for the night.
