Day 280 (Wednesday 10th September 08)

Another early start to be ready and get the train to find where we need to pick up our campervan from. Luckily managed to find it easily once we were there. Took a bit longer than we expected to sort everything out but we managed to get it all sorted and back to the Cosier's before Mum, Dad and Clare were leaving for the airport. Packed all our bags into our camper then followed Mum, Dad, Clare and Rick to the airport. Went in for a quick sandwich and hot chocolate before saying our goodbyes and getting on our way. Rick had noticed that one of our brake lights wasn't working so quickly popped back to the Wicked depot to get them to change it. We were then on our way to see how far up the coast we could get that night. Stopped for a toilet stop and swap over who was driving and by a huge coincidence was at the same place that we stopped at on our way up to the Hunter Valley when we did our wine tasting trip. Ended up stopping in Newcastle for the night. Drove around for a while trying to find somewhere we could park up for the night. Decided we would try by the beach in one of the car parks. Heated up some soup and then went in search of some toilets. Found they were all shut up for the night so back in Hoki Poki (our campervan) and went to McDonalds to use their toilets and sort out our bags while there was some light in the car park. We then made our way back to the beach for the night.
