Day 33. Leaving Kalbarri this morning we pass the large white sand hills of Lucky Bay and drive alongside the Pink Lake, not so pink from where we see it! Day 32. This morning down to the mouth of the mighty Murchison River in Kalbarri town to do some fishing off the beach. A small whiting and a bream caught but both given back to the sea to grow some more. Beautiful scenery with the white sandy beach, blue water, waves crashing into the river mouth and the green grass and trees of Kalbarri town. Day 31. A comfy night at Nanga ‘Resort’ and after breakfast we head off further south down Shark Bay road, past Hamelin Pool and onto the North West Ocean Highway towards Geraldton. We are starting to see sporadic wild flowers and many acacia bushes in yellow flower. Day 30. Up very early as we are going fishing off a boat in Shark Bay out of the small tourist centre of Monkey Mia on the other side of the peninsular. Garth is our skipper and we have 9 fisher hopefuls. We motor up past the red sand cliffs of the Peron Peninsular to a couple of fishing ‘hot spots’. Day 29. This morning we are visiting the Shark Bay World Heritage and Discovery Visitor Centre in Denham. But first lunch at the Denham bakery nearby.
