Day 30. Up very early as we are going fishing off a boat in Shark Bay out of the small tourist centre of Monkey Mia on the other side of the peninsular. Day 29. This morning we are visiting the Shark Bay World Heritage and Discovery Visitor Centre in Denham. But first lunch at the Denham bakery nearby. Day 28. We are driving up through the Francois Peron National Park today for a day’s sightseeing and fishing. At the old Peron Sheep Station we deflate our tyres to 25 psi as we are driving on soft sand. 18km later we arrive at the beautiful Big Lagoon on Shark Bay after a bumpy slippery ride on a red sand bush track across the huge scrubby sandhills. Day 27. After breakfast we drive around Carnarvon town centre and walk on the palm lined esplanade and old rail jetty to say our farewells. We have really enjoyed our few days here but now we must head further south on the North West Coastal Highway towards Denham.
