Day 10. Today we are checking out the mining operations, back streets and old heritage buildings of Kalgoorlie and Boulder. A walk down the beautiful old Main Street of Boulder and into the grand Town Hall to view the council chambers with its polished karri and jarrah floors, a very interesting war museum and finally coffees at a beaut local cafe. A short drive up to the Super Pit on the Golden Mile, a massive open cut gold mine being the largest in the world....

Day 9. A strange fog over Fraser Range Station early this morning. Emus, camels, kangaroos, old stone buildings and old cars, very rustic. On the road again, through the vast Western Hardwood Forest, largest in the world, we arrive into Norseman an old gold mining town for fuel.
