Day 32. This morning down to the mouth of the mighty Murchison River in Kalbarri town to do some fishing off the beach. A small whiting and a bream caught but both given back to the sea to grow some more. Beautiful scenery with the white sandy beach, blue water, waves crashing into the river mouth and the green grass and trees of Kalbarri town. We walked up to the Zuytdorp memorial overlooking the beach and viewed the distant Zuytdorp cliffs where the Dutch merchant ship was wrecked off the WA coast in 1712 with the loss of 200 lives. Next to a fabulous little cafe by the boat harbour for coffees and cake. The dreaded wind starts to blow again so a lazy afternoon at our cabin reading the Sunday newspapers and watching the Raiders play Manly. We were robbed! Dinner tonight somewhere different as we are both craving other than pub food. Grace of Kalbarri Indian Restaurant has plenty of great reviews and we were not disappointed. Mild today but windy later 23 degrees.

Cathy Enjoying your trip description and photos Paul and I see the temperature dropping as you travel. So far from the east coast and you meet someone from Gundaroo. I'm flying to Sydney tomorrow, few days with Sam and Hannah. Look forward to hearing more at Angela's wedding.
