Captains Log. Star Date 22.09.05 Well, its been a while since I last updated the postie section, due to a severe dose of 'cant be bothered', which I know, is not the attitude to have! So... here is a little message to let peeps who are interested know that I am still alive! And still in Sydney... But not for long... I leave here on Sunday, 3 days time, its a strange feeling moving on, I've been here 7 months now and I'll miss lots and lots... but there is more to see and do on my itinerary and I will get 'travelling' again. Living out of a back pack again, oh the joy!! : ) The Hunter Valley was good. But it rained. A lot. There were wineries. And vinyards. A lot. A word of advice for anyone going up to the Hunter Valley, dont go hungover. Because the wine tasting is free, but if you are hungover you dont want to drink any wine... A final trip to Byron Bay, yes Thomas May the mayors son, I did go back... was cool. There was a massive thunderstorm one night, thunder, lightening and sooo much rain, it was crazy. I got stuck in it walking back and was soooo wet and a little drunk and couldnt quite recall where the hotel was... slight issue, got soaked! But it did give me the oppertunity to purchase some new clothes, as the ones I had were so wet they took 2 days to dry! It was a 'need' not a 'want'!!! Nimbin was exactly as I left it the first time, exactly!! In fact Nimbin is exactly as the non-hippy-stoner folk left it in 1973, EXACTLY! Went in and paid a visit to the stoner lady I enjoyed freaking out the first time (see Byron postcard if you're interested/have forgotten) but she wasn't up for being freaked out this time. Ho hum, chilled in the 'cafe' attached to her shop for a while anyway. Trev enjoyed that : ) I've also added some pictures of The Rocks. Its the 'historic' part of Sydney (200 years old jeepers! Soooo old ha ha) its just behind the Bridge. I really like it there, hence I took some photographs and put them on here! Off to Melbourne on Sunday for the last leg of my stint in Australia...
