Captains Log: Star Date: 09.03.05 Well, Sydney is as magnificant as it was when I left it last! : ) Came down on the night bus and it was not the most enjoyable journey I have ever partaken in! It took 13 hours, and was pretty busy for the first few hours, so I had to sit next to someone, no stretching out across 4 seats like last time! Not impressed!!! I got 2 seats eventually but the damage had already been done! : ) It was also the coldest I have been since I left the UK (mu ha ha little dig there at the coldness over there!!) it was ridiculously freezing on the bus and I was more than glad to finally arrive in Sydney. I am staying in a hostel in the centre, which is a really nice place, mahusive plasma TV and all kitted out like an ikea showroom, free breakfast too, cant be bad!! Yesterday I began the mission that will be finding one of those job things... mission is not the word! There are so many travellers here that from what I can gather at the moment, the options are cold calling or factory work. Er, how bout no scott! We'll see if I'm still saying that in a weeks time when I'm working at the factory : ) I have made progress on the flat front though, and have got myself a place to live as of Sunday. It reminds me of student accomodation, back to basics type thing, I am sharing with one other girl to start with in a nice sized room which has a little balcony. The balcony over looks a street so not very exciting at all! But its nice because it really lets the light in and brightens up the room. There are 2 bedrooms and 4 people living there all together, there is no minimum stay length, so that is good for me incase I dont like it I can make like a shepherd whenever I please! Its a 5 minute walk from my hostel at the moment and was recommended by the lady on reception so its in a good location, close to central station, so a half hour bus ride into Bondi on the weekends and slap bang in the centre of the city for work in the week. Thats the theory anyway! Once I get a job I will feel more sorted, as you can tell I am still finding time to update my site and check my emails!! : ) Over and out xxx
