Went on our foodie tour today and it was bellisimo!! Went to about 10 places and tasted all sorts of wonderful foods including our favourite salad since our visit here last year, Caprese Salad (bullock's mozzarella, tomato, basil + garlic and oil etc) - spectacular!! We finished up in this fabulous restaurant in the Testacchio district, where we had authentic carbonara, tomato and cheese pasta with artisan style bread and local wine. Our guide, Dominico was as good as they come and looks like a typical musician by night/tour guide by day type. He was fantastic and we just loved the tour which included other interesting stops along the way ( not just food places). After our tour we got a taxi to the Piazza de' Fiori for a look around and of course more walking! Went across the river to the Castel Sant' Angelo and strolled until we found this little place, the Romoli Bar, where we are sitting, having a beer and watching the world go by! We are meeting up with the Muellers for dinner in a couple of hours! What ..... more food???? ... Oh .... OK!! :-) Ciao xx
