Our plan for today was to go to Terrigal Beach and spend the day shopping and sitting on the beach. Earlier in the week we checked the weather report and it said hot and sunny. Guess what? They are just as bad at predicting the weather in Australia as they are in the US. It was cold and drizzly all day. We made the best of it. We did drive to Terrigal and spend the day walking around the shops and had a really nice Thai lunch. We did not make it to the beach though.

There is a beautiful Crown Plaza right on the beach there so we decided to cash in some points and we booked ourselves in for Sunday night. There is a great market on Sunday near there and lots of live entertainment on Sunday afternoons. That will be my last night out in Oz. I am flying back to LA on Tuesday and on to Baltimore on Wednesday to pick up my car and Hagrid and start the long drive home.

On our way back from Terrigal Lesley decided she wanted to get a hair cut so I decided to get one too. I was way overdue and the guy seemed like he new what he was doing. We made appointments for later n the evening. He did a great job. I kind of wish I had got it cut a little shorter.

We have a big day of local touristy stuff planned for tomorrow. Hopefully the weather will improve a bit. I think it has actually been hotter in Colorado the last couple of weeks than it has been in Australia.
