Deb's Adventures
Tomorrow Eric and I are going to Sydney and then on to Tasmania and Melbourne. We are flying back to Sydney on March 9th where Lesley and Ray are meeting up with us for one last night before Eric flies home. We have been having so much fun with Lesley and all our new Australian friends but we are looking forward to some Deb and Eric time. Today was mostly about cleaning and doing laundry and repacking and organizing and getting ready for our next adventure. Nothing really that interesting to report until we went to dinner.
Lesley's friends Lynn and Dennis invited us to their home this evening. Their son Todd and his fiancé Matthew were also there. We had so much fun laughing and singing and getting to know each other. Lynn made us a beautiful green curry seafood dish and Todd and Matthew entertained us with stories of their recent shena****ns and the upcoming Mardi Gras they are participating in.
Dennis and Lynn’s house sits on top of a small mountain that looks out over the valley. You can see the Gosford Harbor in the distance and the neighborhoods below. It was absolutely gorgeous. When we first arrived there was a Cockatoo at their bird feeder on the deck. He hung around squawking and showing off for us for a while. After dinner a juvenile possum showed up to the feeder to entertain us. The possum would actually take apples and crackers right out of our hands and sit and eat them. He definitely was not afraid of people.
Thank you everyone for a great night.
