Deb's Adventures
Lesley had to work this morning so I walked to town for some exercise. I needed to buy a new pencil to do my puzzle books with and one last item for my costume and also I need at least one new book to get me through until I get home. I do have a 21 hour travel day followed by a 9 hour travel day coming up. I will need plenty to keep me busy. I wandered in to a coffee shop/book store and was so focused on the books in the back I didn't hear Trudee call my name. I think mostly I did not expect to run into anyone. I really only know six or eight people in the entire country. Finally she started to insult me which got my attention. We laughed and I sat and visited with her, over a cuppa, because that is what you do in Oz. Trudee is wonderful. I want to pack her in my suitcase and take her home with me.
Lesley and I arrived back at the house at almost the same time. We ate lunch and went out for a hike. We didn't make it as far as we would have liked. The sun was beaming and it was that time of day that is really hot. I was really worried about getting a sunburn so we went a couple of kilometers and turned back.
Not much else happened today. Lesley has a cold so we are taking it easy so she will be better by the weekend. We have a lot going on in my last few days in Australia.
