We are spending the weekend relaxing at Lesley's house. We need to do laundry and restock our supplies for our next trip. Tuesday morning we are driving North up the East Coast past Brisbane to Harvey Bay. We are going to explore The Gold Coast and see The Great Barrier Reef.

Eric and I walked 4.5K to the town of Ettalong to have lunch and see the shops. It is a nice walk along the beach. Ettalong is a pretty quiet place. We hung out for a few hours and walked back towards Lesley’s. We ran into Ray and Lesley with Lesley’s Granddaughter Leah on the way back so we played in the park with them until an afternoon shower rolled through. We all made the mad dash back to the house just before the deluge.

The rain did not last long so we headed to Kincumber Mountain for a full moon party. The sunset was beautiful from on top of the mountain. There were bands, a drum circle and a belly dancer to keep us entertained. The clouds moved back in so we never got to see the moon. It still has not been overly hot or sunny for Summer in Australia but we are having fun anyway. Maybe as we move North we will run into hotter weather.
