Updating my blog didn't go to well last time so hopefully i'll be able to get it all up to date now were in Queenstown! On the way to Taupo we stop at Ruakuri Caves for a short walk which was pretty cool but it was nothing compared to the caves from black water rafting. We then headed to Huka falls which were nice as well! The afternoon was all about the skydive though which was absolutely incredible!!! It was a perfectly clear day, literally not a cloud in the sky! I decided to do my skydive from the highest possible height (15,000 feet), so on the way up in the plane we had to get the oxygen masks out. I was quiet supprised going up as I wasn't nervous at all just proper excited, I also got the seat next to the exit door as I was first out so the views on the way up were pretty amazing! When we got to the top it was time to jump out, by this time as proper buzzing and actually couldn't wait to jump out! The free fall was quality - they say most people black out for about 30 seconds but I remember pretty much all of it, I think it was because I didn't have any nerves! The camera women I had was quality making me pull funny faces etc an then she grab my arm and span us round in a circle which was quality! The actual freefall felt like it lasted about 2 seconds before the shoot went up! The views on the way down were quality and I jumped just as the sun was setting as well which was superb! The actual jump felt like it lasted about a minute but it was about 6 minutes in total with a minute of freefall! I was buzzing when i got down, the adrenaline rush lasted several hours after and whenever I watch the dvd, which is quality, i get that same buzz back again! Back at the hostel we went out for a fair few beers as it was Jacks birthday and ended up wearing a load of fake moustoches which they bought from the 2 dollar shop!
The next day slightly hungover we actually got our first lie in of the trip which was definately needed!!! We didn't do to much in the day just walked down the hot stream at the begining of Huka Falls which was really cool! There was basically hot water flowing out into the lake which created an warm bath like pool. On the night we headed out for a few games of pool and ended up in a karaoke bar, where we didn't stay for to long as it was full of Maori transvestites - not a pretty sight, but Dom was in his element there!!! We went back tothe bar and watched the first half of the Man U Chelsea game before calling it a night.
