The first thing you notice when you get into Rotorua is the smell - sulphur comes up through the ground so it smells terrible, I have no idea how the locals live with it!! When we got there we decided to go luging! Luging - your basically in this little sort of go kart thing and you just race down these tracks at a pretty quick speed, its quality! I didn't start off to well, we all lined up and started our first race - it does say your not aloud to race but wheres the fun in that!! So were flying full pelt down these tracks an we come to a corner, so i try and turn but got bashed straight out the way and went flying straing over one of the barriers - yup it was pretty painfull but i got up an carried on an still didn't finish last!! We had a ore goes on more advance tracks which was pretty good, on the second lap there was a massive pile up which was pretty funny, luckily i started at the back so i managed to stop in time! Now most people would have made sure everyone was alright - but i'm not most people and this was a race so i just picked my luge up an ran straight past everyone!!!
On the night some of us decided to go to a Maori cultural evening which was quality! They put on a pretty good show for us and the food was amazing - I went up for dinner twice and desert twice - a few of us even had some sandwich bags which we stuffed some more meat in! When we got back we headed to the pub for a few drinks and watched a boxing match that was on - it was a pretty big fight over here and like all big fights it was an absolute let down!!!
The next morning our first stop was at a farm show which hardly no one was interested in so most of us just waited outside and played cards. We then headed to a place called Agroadventures which had a few different activities. I decided to do one called the Swoop where your basically in a giant sleeping bag and your pulled 50 ft into the air where you have to then release yourself and you go flying forward. It was superb a quality adrenaline rush, my legs were shaking for about 10 minutes after! I have put the video on here so hopefully you'll be able to see it! After our trip to Agroadventures we headed off to Waitomo.
