We had an early start the next morning as we had to catch the ferry across to the self Island! The journey was about 3 hours and we had some huge bloke shaking the boat with his snoring, it was shocking i've never heard anything like it! When we got into Nelson we did a short, but pretty steep walk up to the center of New Zealand which was pretty cool! Back at the hostel which was quality, it was more like a hotel, we did a bit of beer tasting where we tried 6 different New Zealand Beers - some of which were pretty terrible but they still got drunk! We then had a quality meal of beef and pork with all the trimmings and banana cake and ice cream for pudding - i think i'd forgot what real food actually tasted like! That night we tried to teach Amanda and Emma how to play poker which didn't go down to well, espically with Amanda as she has the attention span of a goldfish!! Me an Amanda had a walk into to town to see what was going on but everywhere was completely dead, it was like a ghost town, so we went back to the room and called it a night!
