From Mt Bundy Station we travelled down to Douglas Hot
Springs and stopped there for three days. The natural hot springs were so hot
in spots, but a beautiful place to chill out. The colours of the creek reeds
were so vivid. Tjuwaliyn (Douglas) Hot springs was a ceremonial place where
young aboriginal girls were taken to learn about becoming a woman.
At Douglas Hot springs we pulled up next to a couple from
the Sunshine Coast. His name was Lance, her name was Marilyn and one of their
daughters name was Lorelle (yes spelt the same way), so hence we didn’t forget
their names.
We only left the Douglas Hot Springs because someone ran out
of Pepsi. After leaving the beautiful Douglas Hot Springs we stopped at Pine
Creek to stock up on Pepsi. Alan had a pink fit, paying $30 for a slab of 24
cans, it was the only slab in the shop. To add insult to this dilemma, every
can was flat, but he was a champion by drinking them all and later a phone call
to Schweppes and a $30 Coles voucher is on its way to us.

FRED DIJKGRAAF FLAT PEPSI!!!!! What a life changing moment. Is that not part of Lorrelle's job description?Only joking Lorrelle!
Cuppa Ha ha, you have obviously slowed down enough to find time in between drinking all that Pepsi to persuade the manufacturer to provide you with replacements. Tough life having to drink it flat ...... could’ve been worse though...... it could’ve been warm as well!
Mel What a debacle....! Hahaha
