We camped 2nights at springcreek to go and see the Bungles. Great free spot beautiful creek for the girls to swim in. kev lit a bonfire both nights very cosy place indeed.
The road in to Bungles itself is a 50km drive all off road, which we were told would take 2 to 3 hours. Kev rally!!! drove in and we were there in 1h 15mins talk about hold on to your hats!!! not for the faint hearted, although saying that it was a brilliant drive and did take me 2 1/2 hours to drive out!!
The Bungles are so bizzare very prehistoric looking. Beautiful colors and at sun set they glow reddy/orange. Cathederal Gorge was lovely saw lots of cane toads here, yuk. On the southern side we had a tough walk into Echinda Gorge very hot and rocky, but very cool walking through the chasm also another great photo oppourtunity here between 11am-12pm the sunlight breaks through the chasm and creates awsome light beaming through. We had a yummy picnic here and were extremely tired that night. Fabulous action packed day.
