EL QUESTRO is EL FANTASITICO.... Wow, Wow, Wow. Love, love ,loved this gorgeous tranquil place. Great spot to spend the Kevlars birthday we had a ball here so much to do and see again!!! The most amazing hot spings EVER with the fabbest name "ZEBEDEE" spring. Could have stayed there all day sat in warm running waterfalls on a soft grassed river bed surrounded by hundreds of tall bright green palm trees. El Questro Gorge had a fab river crossing to entre and equally as beautiful gorge walk little challenging in spots but mostly a great hike. Fantasic little swimming hole with beautiful little fern trees growing up the rock wall around the massive trees which create much needed shade. Emma Gorge also a lovely walk, Tropical plants everywhere even a lovely green tree frog here or there. The waterfall at the very end of this gorge is massive such a sight. The whole thing was breath taking even the water it was FFFreezing, which did make it all the more refreshing after the 2 hour walk.
Kevs Birthday was brilliant after Zebedee springs we went to do a few river crossing then on to a fab 4x4 track bit hairy in spots but heaps of fun, we found the best picnic table in W.A right on the top of the ranges with a fantasic veiw. Topped of with a homed cooked (caravan cooked!) Roast dinner! Happy Days.
The girls Went horse riding here and were really involed in saddling up, leading their horses around and evening washing them down after there ride. We were told to make sure to watch the sunset from the old telegraph hill at 5.15pm so that afternoon a little later than expected we left to do the 20min walk up, as we were wlking the sun seemed to be going down earlier and we didnt want to miss the photo opportunity so we raced up!! I felt like a contestant on the biggest loser...lol. Not happy Jan we still missed it. Bugga.
We loved laying by the river which ran through the campsite, as we were asured no crocs in this water. The girls swam through the rapids with a inner tube tyre while Kev and I read our books in bliss. Most nights the girls were off cane toad hunting! yukky things. Awful pests that have killed all the frill neck lizards up here and will cause more chaos as they go, endangering many of our native animals. Its lovely having cows walking through our campsite each morning, not so lovely being woken up too early by the incredibly noisie white gallahs!! as pretty as they are though. Looking forwards to more adventure ahead..
