- We all loved Monkey Mia so much. Such a amazing place to come relax and take in the beautiful surroundings and colorful sunsets. The Emus are everywhere here and they are so tame, I love this family photo of them just strolling down the high street! This experience here with the beautiful dolphins has been very educational for the girls, they soaked up every little bit of information about these amazing mammals. We were extremely lucky to have fed Piccaloa a 21 yr old female dolphin, nearly everyday.There are over 3000 dolphins in monkey mia and of them 3000 only 58 or so visit the bay and only 5 are hand fed. The wildlife is fantastic here Mikayla and I walked along the beach with a turtle swimming along side us! How Fab!.Down at the beach we saw crazy crabs a few liittle sting rays, shuffle nose sharks,a baby tigershark and jumping eagle rays,which belly flop back into the water with a enormous splash. The big fish and shark feeding at Ocean Park was good fun. A great start to our big adventure.
