From Beasley river to Karijini we stopped into Tom Price for the essentials "beer & freddos". (Lovely coles store Moira!). The drive in land was pretty cool so many mountainous ranges. Pulling into Karijini national park was ace we found a great spot in Dales campground at Bungarra loop. The camp ground is well set out, spaceous and neat. Once we'd set up we all popped on our flipflops and went for a nosey around. We ended up at Fortesque falls, where the sound of running water is bliss. That night we heard Dingos howling which was awsome> We really are experiencing this beautiful country. 2nd day In Karijini we walked all along the top of dales gorge then we entered the gorge at circular pool which is a steep incline. Once we were all downthe bootom of the gorge it was completey different from the dry rugged top. The gorge was cool, shaded, rocky with little pools of water that surrounded us. We made our way to circular pool for our first experience of swimming in a natural pool. It was gorgeous. The girls were such fantastic little hikers we made our way back along the bottom of the gorge to fortesque falls then carried on to fern pool which is the most amazing colour, its alomost the same color as a tiffany bag!! lol! So we all jumped in it was cool refreshing and just what we needed. The little fish around the botoom of the jetty were just llke the ones in Thialand which suck at your feet! I was freaked out by them, while Candeece gave it go. The fish weren"t interested in her feet haha and left her alone.
3rd day at Karijini we explored Weano gorge and had a total different experience there. Handrail pool is out of this world. Best place to have a picnic ever!. Hancock gorge was not as long but just as even if not more magical. We swam along to enter this gorge and were welcomed by a baby snake swimmimng at the entrance of the pool! Kermits pool is a place I could of stayed at all day its was captivating.
4th day we did Joffe Gorge! and for all the Games of thrones fan out there! it was a little bit of a p****of a gorge!! lovely pool tho.
The girls became Karijini bush rangers and are so very proud! we have all learnt so much about the aboriginal land here and have a new found respect for Australian heritage.
We loved Karijini so much the walking, swimming, bats in trees, cutiest little red lizards and beautiful scenery. Its a must do for all
