Monday - we travelled from Whanganui down to Wellington today, on the main highway - which is less of a motorway, more of an A road or even in places a B road. Not much to report today about the journey, though we did go through a funny town called Bulls - in which almost every business/facility had managed to incorporate the words 'bull' into its title, I.e. the police station was 'const-a- bull', the library was 'knowledge-a-bull', pharmacy was 'indispens-a-bull' - you get the picture!! We arrived in Wellington and are staying right on the waterfront, in a designated area for campervans. It is a bit strange, as the public pavement is literally feet away, and it is quite pricey at one level to stop in what is effectively a car park. But it is very handily located close to everything in the centre and the ferry terminal. We just went out for a few beers last night and then crashed.
