Tuesday - up at the crack of dawn as usual and woke to grey skies, low cloud, misty rain and strong winds (bought some sea sickness tablets for Claire to take tomorrow!) We went up to the botanical gardens on the vernicular railway, but could not see a thing from the view point!! So we headed back down and went to Te Papa, the national museum of NZ - spent hours here, one of the best museums we have ever been to, covering the natural history, Maori history, Europ...

Monday - we travelled from Whanganui down to Wellington today, on the main highway - which is less of a motorway, more of an A road or even in places a B road.
