Day 36
Broome
"
Alice the camel has one hump.
So go, Alice, go."
Sorry for the song choice today - couldn't very well use anything by The Camels cause none of you would get it - found lots of songs about camel toes.. ...
Today can be summed up in 2 words - washing and camels.
It was another stunning day weather wise and we made the most of the day to do the chores we had to do. We washed our clothes, ourselves (in the pool!), the filthy car - which is now sparkling white again now the red top has pretty much been removed, and cleaned the van. The kids had to do their chores too - remember those 3 shopping bags full of shells - all now washed and sorted!
After lunch we ventured back to the beach for the ever popular Broome camel trek along Cable Beach - yes it had to be done! Cobey led the convoy of camels down the beach for our afternoon trek. Kids loved it.
We finished our camel trek in time to hop off, grab some beers and watch the sun clock off for today.
Tomorrow we will pack up and head for Derby and the Kimberley country. We'll be doing a couple of day trips on the Gibb River Road so the nice shiny Disco will no doubt revert to that rusty red colour.
