Day 10
Wubin - Dallwallinu - Moora - Jurien Bay
"Watching the sunset sunset sunset sunset, over the beaches beaches beaches beaches....."
Rain - first time this trip. Started late in the day yesterday around dinner time and went thru the night. Washing the red dust off the car! Awoke to overcast skies - bit of colour but that was the story for the day. It rained lightly on and off all day but nothing to really annoy us.
We left our campsite at 7.45am and drove through Wubin. Talk about Roadtrain Central!! Wubin is where all the Roadtrains get assembled and so there were rigs everywhere in a huge depot next to the main drag.
Leaving Wubin, we drove on to Dallwallinu and fuelled and picked up some freshly baked (still hot) bread from the bakery.
From there it was 2 hours to the coast. Some of the roads we travelled off the highway cutting our way to the coast were fairly narrow - a bit hairy at times when sharing with the Roadtrains but we managed ok and made Jurien Bay about 12pm just in time for a downpour of rain.
We are staying at the Jurien Bay tourist park for the next 2 nights and so we unhooked the caravan for the first time so far this trip. The beach is literally next door with its fine white sand and beautiful clear water. Temperature was just as inviting - far too tempting for the kids who were in without hesitation, even under heavy skies about to unleash another rain spell . My turn tomorrow arvo !
Luckily the sun broke through at about 3pm and we got a nice ( not magnificent) sunset over the ocean to finish our day.
Tomorrow we'll head to Cervantes and The Pinnacles. Get to drive the Disco for the first time without towing a big lug of a caravan behind it!

Saskia Ridley-Smith I hope you have a good time at Cervantes and The Pinnacles. The Pinnacles make a great hide and seek game.
