First of all - it was a bad night! The sea started picking up around 10 pm and, at 3 am, we had waves of about SEVEN metres to plough through. Not much sleep, therefore, but it did eventually calm down and the day turned out to be brilliant sunshine and temperatures in the low to mid 20s by the time we arrived in Stavanger at just gone midday. We left the boat and wandered around the old town with a couple of our new friends - lovely, quaint area with narrow streets and wooden buildings.
Back to the ship for a 2.15 meeting before heading off again up the Lysefjord. Gloriuos sunshine with wonderful scenic views, passing by the famous pulpit rock which towers 2000 feet above the water but looks a lot smaller when you are so far below it. On our way back we stopped off for waffles with sour cream and jam! Wow! Finally got back to harbour at about 6 pm, and then back to the ship to get changed for dinner! Food is fntastic!
A relaxing evening ahead with a show at 9pm. Possoibly something alcoholic to finish the day off.
One small point - the Blog only allows one photo and I can't seem to rotate it, so will leave it as it is for now and try at some other point, or when I get home. Off to Bergen tomorrow.
