Well, it's been another fantastic day, although I think I'll need another holiday when I get back just to get over this holiday!
We started at 8.00 this morning and travelled along the fjord, heading towards the Troll Path Road. Along the way we had the now familiar reflections on the water, waterfalls and mountains and we visited a "Stave" church which dates back to about 1750. Beautifully decorated and very well looked after. From there we climbed into the mountains and, eventually, reached the view points overlooking the famous Troll Path Road This is a descent made very difficult by the steep, narrow road and the fact that there are a load of 180 degree bends! We were, naturally, in a big bus going down and the camper vans and other traffic coming up the hill were just managing to squeeze by. These Norwegians know how to build roads and bridges!
We had a lovely lunch and then followed another fjord back to the ship. Words cannot adequately describe this lovely experience today - we do have lots of photos and some incredible memories though. Back on board by 4pm and off we sailed, passing littles islets and more lovely scenery.
Not much planned for tomorrow, although I imagine that we will walk into Haugesund and possibly have a coffee and cake!
