This morning I wrote my last exam!!! (I really only had two, one yesterday and on today... but nevertheless I am done!) Which means that I am free from all scholastic obligations!!
It was so hard to get myself motivated to study, but I did get some studying in at crunch time. It's so hard to stay focussed when I have a beautiful view out my window and someone is having a "goodbye" or "end of the year" party basically every night.
My first exam was essay style. We were given 10 potential questions in advance, and two would appear on the exam, of which we would choose one to answer. The Professor ended up putting the two easiest questions on the exam, so I was really happy about that. I was able to write a solid four page essay. (I was sure to write "non-francophone exchange student" all over my exam so the marker would go easy on my grammar!)
The second exam was only 5 short answer questions. I wrote everything I could, but I don't really know how I did.
Overall, I'm just happy that I'm done. French school was much harder than I thought it would be. It wasn't as much work as back home, but it's harder because they give you very ambiguous instructions and expect you to figure out what they expect on the assignments.
In about two hours, I'll be off to Paris to spend time with Alex before he leaves for Canada. By the time get back on Friday, most of the remaining exchange students will be gone.
It's sad to say that this is really the end of this chapter, but I am very excited to be starting the next one!!
