My last blog, I said I wanted to explore more in Grenoble! I did exactly that today, and I had a great day!
I woke up this morning to the sun shining so bright! I knew it was going to be a great day! We started the day by going down to the Sunday Markets. They seem to have one in every little corner in the city. I didn't get anything, but Sarah got strawberries, fresh tomatoes and goat cheese. They look delicious!
After that we had a leisurely patio lunch at Au Village, which serves traditional food for the area. It was a very enjoyable meal in the sun followed by blueberry crème brûlée and espresso.
When we finished our delicious lunch, we walked around town a bit and then met up with some other international students. Together, we took the cable car up the mountain to the fort, called "La Bastille". The views from up there was amazing, between the mountains, clear skies and cityscapes... it was hard to take it all in. So visually stunning, it's almost a sensory overload.
When it started getting cold, we took the cable car back down and went to a café. I had a cappuccino topped with whipped cream. A great end to a great day!
