It's official! Today marks one month that I have been living in Grenoble! It's crazy to think that it went by so fast, and I only have four months left of school, and a month of travelling after that.
It really makes me think about how I need to make the most of all the time I have here. I want to go back to Canada with zero regrets or feelings that I missed something.
My weekend in in Annecy made me think about my time here in Grenoble. In Annecy, we were only there three days, so we made the most of it. We went to every little shop and stopped in at cafés, tried local restaurants and went into all the tourist attractions. I realised I haven't done the same in Grenoble... I've just been thinking "oh I'll do that next weekend..." or "when the weather is nicer". I want to start doing touristy things here more often.
Speaking of "when the weather is nicer"... I thought I was going to get off scott-free while the Canadians dealt with that snow storm... but we got the same over here! All in one night, about 6 inches fell, and kept falling throughout the day. A lot of the public transit was cancelled, and a lot of the shops were closed... but of course school was still running....
The weather is supposed to warm up a bit this weekend... so hopefully we'll get rid of all the snow. I hope the weather stays nice for a while because a week from today is winter break, and I'm going on a tour with Contiki! I'll be going to Amsterdam, Munich, Venice and Paris to name some of the stops! Be prepared for the many blogs and pictures to follow that trip!
