Left Port Smith this morning after a great week. Made our way to Barnhill Station and arrived by lunch time and set up in the non powered area. Views from the the cliff top site are to die for. The beach below is quite stunning. The white sandy beach is lined bya range of cliffs and rocky outcrops. Continued with the pack up today although we did manage a sight seeing drive to "the cliffs" north of the lagoon. Stunning white sand at low tide. The beach is bordered by grey/white sandstone cliffs on one side and aqua coloured sea on the other. Picture postcard stuff. 25/05/2014 Another really good day. Quite different to what we have been doing lately. With all the fish we caught yesterday and Hanno's and our freezer full of fish, we decided on a non fishing day. Plan was to do a bit of sight seeing south of Pt Smith and maybe try walking for mud crabs in the inlet about 10km from the park. Had an early start to catch the tide. Got some valuable info from some blokes who spend 3 months here each year. They have the tides sorted out so we followed their advise to the letter and had no further adventures like the previous expedition. Didn't blog yesterday. We went into Broome for the day mainly to get the car serviced but also to restock the fridges. It was quite a sad day as after a quick shop we parted company with Eleni and Peter. They have Eleni's brothers wedding in Adelaide in about 9 days.
