31/05/14 Spent the day at the Broome Races. Typical country race meeting with lots of local characters, a dirt track, some ordinary horses, some dolled up ladies and a lot of grog. Nice relaxing day today. Carol joined me for a 90 minute walk north along the iconic Cable Beach about 7:00am. After a late breakfast we visited the "boulevard shopping centre" they even have Target and Woolworths! Nice drive along Rendell Beach which reminded us of Barnhill Station, before heading back to camp.
