Pack up day today. Gave the boat a clean, loaded her up and put the slide on back on the ute. It was really good to have time on our side and everything seemed to go quite smoothly. Indulged ourselves with pasties and pasteries from the bakery that does a roaring trade here in Coral Bay. Highly recommend it for quality and price. After a highly successful days fishing yesterday and winds forecast between 3 and 6 knots, confidence levels were at an all time high as we launch at the new Coral Bay Marina and headed out towards the North Passage. Leaving the protected Sanctuary Zone we caste the trusty purple lures in and Hanno and Stelleen readied themselves for some Spanish Mackeral runs. Well well!! Stelleen, Oz and even myself had an exhilarating day on the ocean. As you can see Hanno is still trying really hard to be successful like his peers. He is becoming a wiz at getting tangles undone! He tried really hard to get his shark up but unfortunately failed only to be outdone by his wife AGAIN! Hanno there is always tomorrow, even though we have been saying this for 10 days now! Soon Hanno too will be on our blog! Keep watch!!

Quiet day apart from beach walks and a bit of snorkelling out at Maud's Landing north of Coral Bay. The walk took us passed a reef shark sanctuary and some great views of Coral Bay and Ningaloo Reef. Very windy today but still managed to get a bit of fishing in. 25 to 30 knots from the south west meant fishing was restricted to inside the Ningaloo Reef. Motored south from the Coral Bay marina and first stop was the Five Fingers Reef. Proved relatively productive with a nice keeper North West Snapper a Golden Trevally and a 56cm Spangled Emperor.
